Hot Stuff at Anthropologie

I'm waiting for a call from a friend but spotted this AH.MAY.ZING sale at Anthropologie!  Anthro is my white whale - I'm always hunting for cute, trendy items with modest style appeal and they always allude me because everything costs a bajillion dollars (yes, a bajillion).

Salaam everyone and welcome to all our new readers!  It's always exciting to see the numbers jump on new blog subcribers and fans on Facebook.  I'm excited to jump start Greater Lengths, a bit later in to the year than expected.  The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of events, the final culminating one being my my wonderful father's passing.  We're making it through as a family and alhumdullilah, have been experiencing more comfort and joy than I expected for such a loss.

Assalaamalaikum and/or hey.

Thank you to everyone for the patience between blog posts.  The last few weeks have been a tornado of emotion in my household.  My father had been suffering through a battle with stage IV lung cancer, which had launched a heavier attack on him at the start of January.  He succumbed to the enemy within his body just after midnight this past Saturday.

Naima, the co-writer on Greater Length, and I have been best friends for literally our entire lives and among the many things we've shared has been this experience with losing our fathers to the same illness much too early in our lives.  Naima's father similarly succumbed to his illness just a few years ago.

Please make duas (say prayers) for both her father and mine.
