LOVING IT: Patterson Kinkaid

I'm doing my usual Sunday night routine: prepping for the week, chiding myself for not going to bed sooner, and for putting off all the little things I told myself I'd do.  What better way to spend guilt time than shopping online?

HauteLook is one of those great sites that offers amazing labels at deeply discounted prices and tonight I'm feeling the Patterson Kinkaid designs.

Feel free to sign up through the link posted on the left hand-side and check out these sales below.

This dress is retailing for $28 on HauteLook, and for $97 on Revolve Clothing.

Here's another great plaid shirt dress, on sale for only $26 on HauteLook

This one is called the "Maggie Floral Dress" and is sold out on Bloomingdale's site.

The sketchy model aside, there is a great blue, floral version of this dress on sale on HauteLook right now for only $26; the version below is on sale at Revolve Clothing for $67.

Loving It: A Different Kind of Cardigan

Here are some additions to our cardigan picks.  A few more neutrals, colors and prints that won us over.  Enjoy.

Favorite Finds: No Rhyme or Reason Tops

Refusing to compromise on coverage often means falling into a fashion rut... sweater dresses, plain long tanks, go-with-anything cardigans.  We all know these items are wardrobe vitals, but I often find myself trolling for twists on the ordinary... just something different.  And I found these tops to be just that.  Hope you concur!

Loving It: Viva the Long (and affordable!) Skirt

We've scoured the virtual sales racks for the ever-popular long skirt - a must have for all you modesty-minded gals out there.  These Greater Length finds are not only a cut above the usual A-line fare, at around $30 they're also what's called A STEAL!

Basic Blacks

We love the character in uneven hem-lines.  Pair these with long boots!

Loving It: Ankle Pants

Ankle pants are the perfect compliment to the ever-growing in popularity ankle bootie, and suddenly make highwaters cool again.  Check out this outfit for a bit of European style to your wardrobe.  It's a perfect look for whether in the office or dinner with some friends.

The sweater retails at Dillards for $49.  The pleated pants are available from Calvin Klein and wool flannel pants are available through Coldwater Creek, both retailing at $49.99. Finally, the gray booties are available on Amazon.com for 29.97.  Don't forget to shop through Ebates for an additional 3-5% back from Dillards and Coldwater Creek!

Loving It: Floral Blouses

As winter settles in on the east coast, I yearn for spring colors and cheerful lightness.  If you too want a pop of spring in the middle of the winter grayness, opt for these floral printed blouses to tuck under your blazers.  These have been layered with longer dresses to offset the shorter hemline, but still add Islamic coverage.

The blazer and pants are currently on sale at Bloomingdales, both priced under $50.  Click on any of the images below for retailer information, but remember to shop through Ebates for an additional 3-8% back in cash.

Loving It: Golden lights

The way I see it, the more color you have in your wardrobe, the more color you'll always have in your outfits. Especially when shopping for work clothes, many people have a tendency to go for the neutral tones. These tunics and tops can be coupled with existing cardigans and blazers in your closet for a very work appropriate yet style savvy outfit. I recommend navy with gold, though black and brown are often a good match as well.

Loving It: European Pants

Have you guys heard of the "European Pants"? Yeah, they're new to me too. Essentially, they are pants that make it acceptable to have a looser fit around your thighs and rear, and fitted towards the ankle - perfectly awesome for the averagely conservative American, Muslim woman. Kind of the like the opposite of bootcut. Don't get them confused with skinny jeans, either, that are fitted the entire way. I've recently become a champion of the European cut. Here's a pair I love from yoox.com, for $29.00. I think you could probably work these sweater dresses into the outfit. The gold is from Macy's and the purple is from Target. Remember to show through Ebates for an extra 3.5% back from Yoox, 10% back from Macy's and 30% back from Target. (see Ebates link to the left)

Loving It: Winter Skirts

Long winter skirts! As a Muslim woman, I couldn't be happier! Long skirts are so much easier to wear in the winter, thanks to the magic of the tall boot. I currently have these babies on the way to my house:
, with which to wear any of the skirts below that much easier!

Loving It: Oversized Wool Skirts

Now, I realize that these skirts are a bit of a splurge. But look at them! Big and fluffy and wool and LONG winter skirts! I can totally see these working amazingly well with a pair of tall brown boots or wool stockings and brown heels. I added the orange secretary's blouse as an extra piece of fun, in case you are looking for something to match with them. The skirts would also go well with the blazer from Coldwater Creek, listed below.
